Dentures

Dentures are false teeth made to replace teeth you have lost. Dentures can be complete or partial. Complete dentures cover your entire upper or lower jaw. Partials replace one or a few teeth. Both types are made in our onsite dental lab, based on a mold (or an impression) of your mouth. A partial denture is also called a “removable partial denture” or a “partial.” It is made up of one or more false teeth, and held in place by clasps that fit onto nearby teeth. You can take the partial denture out yourself, for cleaning and at night. A partial denture may be used when nearby teeth are not strong enough to hold a bridge, or when more than just a few teeth are missing.

All-on-4 Implants

This technique allows patients to receive a full fixed (non-removable) bridge on as few as four dental implants (normally), all in the same day! This means “immediate function” in terms of normal dental activity. Even those patients who have been told, “You are not an implant candidate because you don’t have enough bone mass”, are now able to be treated by utilizing this technique. Today, virtually all denture patients, from those with failing crown and bridgework to those with severe bone loss from periodontal disease can have the answer they have been seeking with this procedure.

By taking advantage of the dense bone that remains in the front part of the jaw and by placing the two posterior implants on an angle to avoid the sinus cavities in the upper jaw and the nerve canal in the lower jaw, this procedure has virtually eliminated the need for bone grafting (along with the discomfort and prolonged healing time which often accompany these additional procedures). Today, thanks to the All-on-4TM technique, it’s now possible for patients to have a non-removable bridge placed the same day they receive their implants, and almost always without bone grafting. The All-on-4TM technique is almost always an excellent solution for replacing all the teeth in the mouth, regardless of age.

Many people suffer years of personal shame and self-consciousness brought on by malfunctioning partial plates or badly fitted dentures. If you are looking at the possibility of having to wear dentures but choose All-on-4 system, you will never have to experience the crippling effects of loose dentures again. So forget passing up your favorite foods, messy adhesives, removing teeth at night, the embarrassment of dentures slipping during conversation or smiling, associated with wearing dentures.
